The following couplets are just as the title suggests; they are things that I have recently learned.

Mardi Gras - Fat Tuesday

Blog - Short for "web log"

There are more, I'm sure. But that is all that comes to mind.

(I'm already out of ideas of what to write.)

Synicism from the gates

What possesses people to think that simply because they put something up on the freaking internet that others would be interested in reading it? How self-preoccupied is it to own your own blog? How self-absorbed can we really be?

I have now entered into the world of blogging. And I fear that I will be the only one who reads these things, no matter how many emails I send out to people pleading with them to give me attention.

If you are reading this, I simultaneously thank you and feel sorry for you. Thank you for making me feel special. Thank you for fueling the fire of my own self-centeredness. I feel sorry for you because you really should be doing something else right now.
