The Sun Has Exploded

In Alphabetical Order
a Matty Matt Sax Project
Circa 2005
Featuring Eric Bellard

D G A Bm G D A
I hope this phase of dumb clichés and songs of being broken hearted
Just slips away without a trace and I return to where I started
But as it were I’m immature and obsessed with why we parted

Bm Bm/Bb
I’m under her spell.
Bm/A E
The clouds just swell and burst their guts.
G (build up and walk down to F#)
So why does it rain on my parade?
Bm G A G A D
Nobody knows if the sun has exploded but I hope that it would right now.

I wrote her songs; she wrote me off
My dignity’s hard to find
We disagreed.
She could not see enough to see that she was blind.
She spoke of a large wedding in Charleston
But I’m not quite who she had in mind

I’m under her spell.
The clouds just swell and burst their guts.
So why does it rain on my parade?
Nobody knows if the sun has exploded but I hope that it would right now.
